Last year, Sany quietly entered the compact track loader market with the introduction of its ST230V, a machine that has quickly gained attention for its powerful performance and thoughtful design. This new model is a natural extension of Sany’s mini excavator line, designed from the ground up to deliver impressive versatility and power. With a 73-horsepower Yanmar engine, the ST230V boasts a rated operating capacity of 2,430 pounds and a bucket pin height of 120.5 inches at maximum lift.
The ST230V’s 10,318-pound weight is coupled with advanced features, making it an ideal choice for operators in need of a reliable and comfortable machine. Tim Collie, director of strategic accounts for Sany America, highlighted the compact track loader at the 2025 ARA Show in Las Vegas, where the machine’s key specifications and features were showcased in detail.
A standout feature of the ST230V is its operator-friendly cabin. With a roll-up door and low entry point, accessing the cab is easy and efficient. Operators can enjoy excellent visibility of the attachment, and the spacious cab is enhanced by a 7-inch LCD screen for monitoring machine settings and viewing the standard rearview camera. Comfort is a priority, with features like air suspension seating, auto-temp HVAC, and intuitive pilot controls.
Designed with durability in mind, the engine compartment is fully sealed to prevent dirt and debris from getting in. Maintenance is simplified with a wide-opening rear door and the ability to tilt the cab up to 60 degrees for better access to daily checkpoints and filters.
The ST230V’s undercarriage is equipped with rollers that feature an anti-derailment function, contributing to a more stable operation of the front guide wheel. This ensures that the machine remains reliable even in rough or uneven terrain, where other machines might struggle. Additionally, the hydraulic quick-coupler-ready design and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics provide compatibility with a wide range of attachments, including augers, dozer blades, buckets, pallet forks, and even snow blowers.
Other convenient features include one-click startup and unlock functions, a reversing fan, and LED lights for enhanced visibility. As Sany continues to expand its compact track loader lineup, future models will cover a broader range, with plans for units up to 110 horsepower.
The ST230V is an important entry into the growing compact track loader market, which saw over 71,200 units sold in 2024 alone, according to Fusable’s EDA equipment finance data. As Sany looks to expand its presence in this sector, the ST230V sets a solid foundation with its innovative design and robust performance.
