From Passion to Success: The DXT and Cat Dozers Story
DXT, a top-tier construction and civil engineering company in the Nordic region, shares a special bond with Caterpillar machinery. Co-owner Peter Hedendahl’s journey with Cat dozers began in his youth, working alongside his father in the family construction business.
Peter’s early experiences in a Cat D7 dozer fueled his passion for heavy machinery. By 16, he was working full-time with his father, eventually taking over the business in the 1970s. The company was small, with a fleet that included only a Cat D8 dozer and a 953 Track Loader. Peter never expected to own a D10 dozer, considering it beyond his means.
That changed in 2016 when a friend tipped him off about a D10T dozer for sale by a mining company in Northern Sweden. Peter and his partners decided to bid on the machine, and to their delight, they won. The acquisition was so significant that they named their new company DXT, paying homage to the D10T that transformed their business.
Today, DXT boasts a fleet of Caterpillar equipment, including multiple D10 dozers. In 2023, Peter made the journey to Peoria, Illinois, to see the first Next Gen Cat D10 destined for Europe being assembled. The machine’s cutting-edge technology and fuel-saving capabilities underscore why Peter continues to trust Caterpillar and value his partnership with Zeppelin.
